Soft & stretchy achromatic cityscape print opaque tights, by U.K. brand Pamela Mann (est. 1956!). These rise to natural waist with a smooth 2" wide waistband and gusseted crotch.
first notes on fit: The size chart seems conservative --being 5'6" with 42" hips, I grabbed the size 12-14 to try. They are comfy, but also roomy on me and I think I could probably size down. (update: size 4-10 also fits me just fine, so very accommodating)
